What does being a member of the  Design & Renew Tribe mean?

It means that you are part of a community of people that are all trying to break out of cycles in their life that are holding them back from their full potential. Members of our tribe want to find their purpose, themselves, their confidence, have a successful business or career, and live in financial freedom. You are on a journey to better yourself, your life, and those around you. Our founder is a Dave Ramsey Financial Coach, but she was also once a single mom, living in poverty, overwhelmed by debt and stress, working jobs she was miserable in just to make ends meet. She knows the struggle so many face firsthand, but she overcame it. She changed her circumstances, and now she's here to help you change yours. This community was created to be an affordable, safe, and supportive space to walk with those who are ready for change but aren't sure where to start, or just need help to get there.

Who We Are

Design & Renew was founded by Traci Bakenhaster after her own struggle with finances as a single mom years ago. It was created to positively impact your future. To help you achieve your goals, to help you get out of debt and take control of your money, and for you to realize your potential, in life and career.

Why the name Design & Renew? DESIGN because we are going to design you a future of success, financial freedom, and happiness. And RENEW because we are going to renew your future through a renewing of your finances and your life. We are here to empower you to find your purpose and to live in financial freedom.

Our Coach

Our coach, Traci, is a Dave Ramsey Financial Coach. She holds her master's in business psychology, her bachelor's in business administration, and several associate degrees from Columbus State Community College. She has over six years of experience in higher education and career tech in roles such as Academic Advisor, Career Development Specialist, and Program Manager. She has also held positions as Director of Marketing, Event Specialist, and Hiring & Training Manager.

However, before all of this, she was a single mom barely making ends meet. She knows firsthand what it feels like to live in poverty, to have maxed out credit cards, outrageous student loans, and no hope. She worked three jobs while also going to school full-time in order to provide for her family. But she overcame, and now she's here to help you do the same. Don't let your circumstances define you, you have the choice to make a change, and joining the D&R Tribe is a great first step!

Together with her diverse background, education, and experience Traci has a passion for helping individuals find their purpose and live in financial freedom! She also is very involved in her community and is the recent recipient of the 2020 Emerging ATHENA Leadership Award from the Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce for her work and passion for the community.
